You can set prices per group, per person, or add a fixed fee for each person over a certain number. You can also set up day trips, lodging or multiday live aboard packages for your charters. You have complete control over how much it costs to book with you, as long as it's not higher than when customers book directly through you.Hawaii Marlin Fishing charges a commission on each successful booking we send you.
You need to please establish your trip commissions that will be paid to HMF for all bookings provided to your business. Commissions are 100% set by the Boat Members and can fluctuate between trip types offered (Shared Vs. Private). The higher you are able to set your commissions, the higher you will rank on our search engine results and fleet listing pages.
When you’ve highlighted everything that makes your charter listing fantastic (answered ALL of our profile questions), you can now set your page to "Published" to make it public and viewable for bookings on our website. Guests will be able to see it when they create searches or view the Boat Member – Fleet pages. If you try to publish your boat profile and you have not answered a question(s), the HFM system will inform you what question(s) and answer(s) you have missed.
To get a good review score and rank better on Hawaii Marlin Fishing, use our Request Review Form to invite your existing clients to leave reviews on your page. These will give you an immediate ranking boost and increase credibility with your future leads.
We've made posting a fishing report quick and hassle-free with Fishing Reports. These are a great opportunity to showcase what you are catching on your trips day to day. You also get a ranking boost if you've posted a fishing report in the last 14 days.
You'll receive two main types of communication from us:
Booking inquiries are questions a traveler has about your fishing techniques, boat or service. We will include the guest's trip dates, but they often aren't quite ready to make plans.
Reservation requests are just what they sound like—requests to stay at your listing on specific dates from guests who are ready to book and have already authorized a deposit. It's very important to respond to all booking inquiries and reservation requests as soon as possible so that guests can make their travel plans. If you do not respond to HMFs trip booking requests, HMF will route the lead to the next similar/ like boat in size and amenities in the harbor. The customer must be serviced, and responses are vital to customer service for both your business and ours.
You must be using and updating your HMF Calendar on a regular basis, so that we can confidently book all trip requests IMMEDIATELY without ever waiting for your confirmation reply. Never miss any trip opportunities.
When you confirm a reservation, remember that your guest is counting on you to follow through. Cancellations are really disruptive for guests, but we know that sometimes the weather can behave unpredictably. In that case, safety should definitely come first.
